What is the dress code?

The dress code is formal – suit, tie, dresses etc. The colour scheme is coral, which will be reflected in the outfits of the bridesmaids and ushers:

If the weather is warm, George will change into a more casual (short-sleeved) shirt for the evening. Amelia will change into trainers for dancing. Feel free to also bring a change of clothes.

Can I buy you a gift?

We appreciate that you will have spent money just to attend our wedding, so please don’t feel obliged to buy us anything! That said…

We will sort out a wedding registry – John Lewis have stopped doing their registry for some reason so we need to find an alternative. Thank you!

What is the transport situation?

Travelling to the church

The church’s postcode is BS22 9XL. The what3words is famous.tricky.twins.

By car Sorry, there is no parking at the church itself. We advise parking on the residential streets behind the church.

By public transport The closest station is Weston Milton, but not all trains stop there. All will stop at Weston-super-Mare. From the train, we suggest you take a taxi to the church (6 mins from Milton, 10 mins from Weston-super-Mare). Alternatively, you can catch the number 1 bus from Weston-super-Mare station towards Sand Bay: the Crookes Lane stop is nearby the church. There is only one of these buses an hour, though, so plan ahead!

A note on walking Although Google makes the walk from Weston Milton station to the church look doable (40 mins, 1.5 miles), this is hilly and not entirely paved, so be warned! If you do choose to walk, just before you get to the church there is a very steep hill (Monk’s Hill). Don’t try to walk down this hill as there is no pavement: use Monk’s Steps instead (down Woodspring Avenue) and bear in mind they look like this – really not suitable in wedding attire! Taxis / buses recommended!

The reception venue’s postcode is BS24 0EX. The what3words is lake.tigers.blaze.

By car Lots of parking, including some with electric charging points.

By public transport You can’t! Please let us know if you need travel arranging and we will either pair you up with someone with a car or sort out a minibus.
